Innocence and the Push for Abolishing Ohio’s Death Penalty

May 26, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Ohio is ready to make history! SB 103 and HB 183 would abolish Ohio’s death penalty– which is great news, since 11 innocent people have been sentenced to death.
Join the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center and the Ohio Innocence Project as they welcome one of those 11 people. Derrick Jamison is a Cincinnati native who spent 20 years on death row for a crime he didn’t commit. Senator Cecil Thomas (D-9) and Representative Jean Schmidt (R-65) will join this virtual panel to explain why the time is now to repeal the death penalty. We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, May 26 at 7 pm. #NoDeathPenaltyOH
