Land of Open Graves

Jason De Leon (Michigan/UCLA) is an award-winning photographer, musician, and archaeologist who won a MacArthur (“genius”) grant in 2017. His website details previous projects and lectures – coalescing around documenting lives and deaths in clandestine migration.

He will be at Miami University (Shriver Dolibois rooms) on October 18th with a presentation titled Land of Open Graves. The purpose of the lecture is to understand American politics and US/Mexico border enforcement through the lives and deaths of migrants.
