NASW Ohio Virtual Awards Celebration

June 13 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join IJPC and the National Association of Social Workers, Ohio Chapter for a virtual awards ceremony.

In lieu of the NASW Ohio Social Work Celebration Gala, which has been cancelled due to COVID-19, we will be hosting a Virtual Awards Celebration on Saturday, June 13th from 7 – 8pm.

During the virtual ceremony we will be recognizing all our outstanding award winners and state winners will have the opportunity to share acceptance speeches. We will also have a live musical performance, raffle prizes, and other fun features. So, invite your friends, family, and colleagues and join in the celebration! Fancy Zoom-call attire is encouraged.

All will be welcome to attend the virtual event for free or by purchasing a $20 donation ticket. Proceeds will support NASW Ohio’s advocacy on behalf of social workers during this critical time and our Statewide Agency of the Year, Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center (IJPC).

COVID-19 has exposed the unjust systems IJPC works to change and has created more inequality and injustice in our communities. IJPC works collaboratively to protect incarcerated people and immigrant detainees from COVID-19 and free all those who should be released. IJPC continues to convene the Immigrant Dignity Coalition, facilitating local organizations and activists who share resources and support. Your contribution will support IJPC’s work to uplift the stories of the most vulnerable and advocate for solutions to challenges identified by impacted peoples.

About IJPC

The Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center educates and advocates for peace, challenges unjust local, national and global systems, and promotes the creation of a nonviolent society. IJPC is supported by faith-based organizations and individuals who work together to educate around justice issues, take collaborative action and do public witness. We address local, national and international concerns focusing on the death penalty, immigration, human trafficking and peace and nonviolence.
