Solidarity With Ohio Immigrants

December 10, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

For Human Rights Day, join us outside the Butler County Jail as we stand in solidarity with all the immigrant detainees currently experiencing abuse and neglect inside detention centers across the country.
COVID-19 protections will be observed: Wear a mask the whole time, stand at least 6ft away from one another, wash your hands and do not attend if you don’t feel well or are having any symptoms of COVID-19. The gathering will be held outside and will be brief.
We recognize the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Southwest Ohio, so we will be sure to livestream the event and provide alternative ways for you to participate.
For those planning to attend, dress warm and bring signs made with lights or reflective paint. Candles would be powerful too.
More information will be posted in the coming days.

About IJPC

The Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center educates and advocates for peace, challenges unjust local, national and global systems, and promotes the creation of a nonviolent society. IJPC is supported by faith-based organizations and individuals who work together to educate around justice issues, take collaborative action and do public witness. We address local, national and international concerns focusing on the death penalty, immigration, human trafficking and peace and nonviolence.
